The Dr. Loosen estate has been owned by the same family for over 200 years. The illustrious current owner, Ernst Loosen, took over the family business in 1988. They are a member of Germany’s VDP (The Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter) association along with Germany’s top wineries adhering to strict yield and quality practices. Dr. Loosen Rieslings ranging from dry, off-dry to sweet is distributed all over the world. Their top wines, Grosses Gewächs (GG), along with their sweet late harvest and ice wines can develop beautifully in the bottle if one has the patience to wait.
