Scions of Sinai Gramadoelas 2022

Grapes for the Scions of Sinai Gramadoelas 2022 were sourced from a single vineyard of Grenache Blanc planted in 2009 on schist and shale derived soils in the Klein Karoo region. Located in a remote, untouched viticultural zone, the site is known as the Gramadoelas, meaning a "remote place." The grapes were handharvested early in the morning using lug boxes, with skins soaked for 20 hours before destemming. No additions or manipulations were made, except for controlled SO2 addition. The must was aged on its fine lees for 9 months in older 228-liter and 400-liter barrel systems, resulting in 1,623 bottles. The wine was bottled unfiltered and unfined at 12.5% alcohol content.
