The wine displays a deep, somewhat opaque blackish-red color with a mature russet rim. Its nose is bold and ripe, featuring smoky aromas of dried dark plums, cigar, sweet blackcurrant, leather, and hints of consommé and beef jerky, along with a touch of toasty oak and raisin.

On the palate, it is rich and concentrated with a full body, offering intense flavors of black cherries, peppery spice, savory game, and meaty umami, complemented by nuances of raisins, prunes, and sweet oak. The overall character is robust and muscular, shaped by high acidity and assertive tannins. The finish features prominent tannins, alcohol warmth, and layered flavors of sour cherry bitterness, gamey meat, earthy notes, and hints of dried blackcurrant and pruney fruit.
