Handling a hot year was challenging, but Banfi delivered impressively. The wine showcases a concentrated, compact classic ruby color. Its aroma is broad, clean, and intense, featuring distinct notes of yellow peach, red fruit, and blackberry—slightly jammy with a spirited hint, yet not overly sweet. A subtle bramble vein and an intriguing green nuance enhance the complexity. The taste is bold and alcoholic in a pleasing manner. Despite being youthful and intense, the tannins are of excellent quality, and the surprising acidity for such a hot year adds to the wine's character. The progression is rich, intense, and muscular, with the full boldness of the wine evident in the finish.
