The Aristargos highlights the prominence of Chenin blanc and Old Vines, including Chenin blanc, Sémillon, Clairette blanche, and Colombar, with a focus on the granitic soils of the Paardeberg. Additionally, Chenin blanc from shallow shale soils in the Paardeberg and iron-rich clay soils west of Malmesbury are also included. Dry land farmed bush vines have proven their resilience and emphasize why Chenin blanc remains the primary focus in the Swartland.
The Aristargos 2022 offers a captivating explosion of flavors and scents. It has a pale golden hue and presents a complex aroma of stone fruit, dried herbs, and a touch of spice. The wine is rich and textured, with strong acidity that balances the fruit's sweetness. The finish is exceptional and long-lasting, with refreshing citrus notes enhanced by a mineral backdrop.
