Crafted from 96% Sangiovese and 4% Merlot sourced from young vines aged 10-12 years planted at 460-525 meters elevation on clay and calcareous soils, this wine showcases the estate's signature style in a more accessible format. Aged in used barriques, the 2021 vintage has earned exceptional reviews: 92 points from Antonio Galloni (Vinous), 92 points from James Suckling, 91 points from Wine Spectator, and 90 points from Decanter. With an annual production of approximately 320,000 bottles across all estate wines.
Tasting Profile
Bright ruby red with lifted aromas of violet, lilac, blood orange, redcurrant, cherries, and strawberries. Rich and sensual with tremendous depth, the palate delivers dark fruit, leather, spice, tobacco, and menthol in a sumptuous layered expression. Smoothly textured with polished tannins, bright acids, vibrant floral accents, and appealing chalkiness on the long finish.
