Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2023 is a masterpiece for connoisseurs and gastronomic adventurers—refined, poised, and impeccably balanced. This exceptional New Zealand white wine showcases the perfect harmony between Cloudy Bay's stony Wairau Valley vineyards and the dense clay of Southern Valleys, creating a chardonnay that marries vibrant citrus elegance with luscious stone fruit.
Burgundian Craft, Marlborough Soul
Open and expressive, the nose reveals enticing white nectarine, pear, and citrus complemented by subtle savoury oak. The palate unfurls with vibrant citrus, just-ripe apricot, greengage, and a refreshing minerality that adds mouthwatering drive and concentration. Painstakingly crafted using traditional Burgundian techniques, the wine undergoes gentle pressing followed by fermentation in French oak barrels (20% new) and 6-kilolitre cuves. After 11 months of lees aging and 100% malolactic fermentation, this white wine achieves remarkable texture and depth.
