The base wines selected for this sparkling wine originate from the Kiedrich Turmberg, a 3.8-hectare monopoly property of Weingut Robert Weil, situated at the foot of the former Scharfenstein Castle. The soil of this vineyard is notable for its unique, high proportion of phyllite slate. The quality criteria for the base wines include physiological ripeness, limited sugar content in the healthy grapes, and a confident acidity. These wines are produced using the traditional Méthode Champenoise, with an extended lees aging period of at least 48 months to develop a refined "mousseux". This premium sparkling wine from the cool-climate Turmberg vineyard in Kiedrich is distinguished by its substantial body, finesse, and elegance.
