The 2014 Syrah Soberanes Vineyard is a terrific example of this Santa Lucia Highlands site, but also a bit less exuberant than some previous editions. Inky blue and purplish fruit, black pepper, lavender, sage and menthol give the wine its distinctive, expressive personality.
