The Chardonnay comes from La Pièce sous le Bois, high on the slopes bordering Puligny-Montrachet, with vines averaging 40 years old. The producer’s approach includes 18 months on fine lees and 15% new oak, keeping the emphasis on the vineyard rather than prominent oak flavour.
