Full-bodied and creamy, Vincent Girardin Meursault Vieilles Vignes 2024 balances generous texture with chalky freshness. Citrus zest and white flowers lead into hazelnut, butter and toasted bread, while a gently saline finish keeps this white Burgundy from feeling heavy.
Chardonnay vines averaging 50 years old supply the blend from five Meursault sites, including Les Corbins, Sous la Velle and Les Vireuils. The estate uses 500-litre barrels with just 10% new oak, giving the wine room to develop without making wood the dominant feature.
