‘The citrus colored NV Brut Nature Les Marnes Blanches is a concentrated and floral Blanc de Blancs from clay, white marl and flinty soils. The wine shows bright fruit aromas (white seed fruits and lemon peel) intertwined with flinty and discreet oaky notes on the nose, leading to a straight, firmly structured yet lush and fruity palate. The finish shows a kiss of oak and very fine tannins as well as a vitalizing citrus freshness. I like this lean and mineral style a lot, but it's certainly more of a wine rather than a fizz. This should be great with all kinds of fish and oysters due to its purity, fine grip and lingering salinity. This has an expressive, very mineral character that you either like or you don't, but the excellent high quality is beyond any doubts.
