Product Description
Valeirano is one of Barbaresco’s steepest and most barren sites, set high above the Tanaro in Treiso. Calcareous marl and fine veins of sand give La Spinetta Vursu Vigneto Valeirano 2021 a taut, vertical profile. The Nebbiolo grapes are fermented traditionally on the skins, then matured for about 20 months in new barriques and bottled unfiltered.
James Suckling awards 96 points, noting “Lots of rose petals and botanicals with cherries and dried peaches on the nose. Full-bodied with juicy and plush tannins. Intensely flavoured and very long.”
