Product Description
A multi-vineyard blend of 100% Chardonnay from Hemel-en-Aarde and Overberg sites, this Crystallum release is whole-cluster pressed and naturally fermented in French oak barrels and foudres, resting nine months on lees with no added SO2 or enzymes before bottling.
Verbena, greengage, white peach and butterscotch lead the nose, with yellow apple, straw and citrus giving weight on a grippy, lightly chalky palate. The finish runs long, closing on buttered croissant against tart grapefruit-skin acidity.
