Morgen Long's Witness Tree Vineyard Chardonnay 2023 showcases Eola-Amity Hills' volcanic terroir at 600-680 feet elevation. This organically farmed site delivers aromas of musk, oud, smoke, acacia honey, apricot pit, Meyer lemon curd, and cereal dust with crushed rocks and lime-tinged green apple. Jasmine blossoms, incense smoke, roasted buckwheat tea, stone fruits, slate, and tropical notes emerge with seductive complexity.

Medium-plus bodied with waxy viscosity, the palate balances savory white smoke, flint, baked apples, spice, and oak against bright acidity and chalky minerality. Hand-picked across multiple passes and ambient fermented, this unfined, unfiltered wine blends 53% new barrels with puncheons, finishing malolactic late for remarkable reduction and structure.
