Taittinger Vintage Brut 2016 blends 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, drawn 70% from Grand Cru vineyards and made exclusively from first-press juice, then cellar-aged five years before release. This champagne balances chalky Côte des Blancs minerality with structured Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims.
Toasty and layered on the nose, it shows dried flowers, gingerbread, brioche and pralines, backed by pear and kumquat. The palate turns fresh, with honeysuckle, peach and citrus giving way to a silky finish marked by orange peel bitterness.
