Situated halfway up the hill overlooking the main valley of Barolo, the 15th-century Abbey of Annunziata rests on steep slopes adorned with neatly arranged vineyards. This wine displays a medium ruby hue and offers aromas of ripe berry fruits complemented by earthy herbal notes, having been aged for 12 months in oak. On the palate, it delivers flavors of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, alongside sweet vanilla spice. It features fine tannins and vibrant acidity, with a medium-plus finish that concludes with a characteristic earthy fruitiness. This wine provides excellent value, reminiscent of Barolo but at a more accessible price point!
