A field blend from over 20 native varieties on old vines in the Douro, this Portugal icon wine is fermented destemmed with neutral yeasts and matured 20 months in French oak, 40% new. James Suckling calls it "balsamic, with minty, even eucalyptus notes interwoven with sweet spices, berry fruit and aromatic herbs."
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate notes "heart cherry and blackberry flanked by eucalyptus, mint and menthol," with a palate that's "dense yet silky," pairing power with finesse from world-class terroir.
