This Spain red wine is mostly Merenzao, with Mencía and a little Garnacha Tintorera. The grapes ferment with their stems left on, which adds freshness and a floral lift, then age 15 months in French oak. Expect plum, boysenberry and a hint of dark chocolate, with a fresh finish.
It's great with mushrooms, roast chicken or game. It suits anyone who enjoys Cru Beaujolais or light, elegant reds.
