Domaine Jean Fournier Marsannay Clos du Roy 2023 is organic Pinot Noir from this prized limestone-rich climat. Hand-picked fruit sees partial whole-bunch fermentation, then ages in large 600-litre barrels, preserving perfume, freshness and mineral definition.
Neal Martin finds it “understated, very poised and focused.” Dark cherry, blood orange, savoury herbs and forest floor flow through a medium-bodied palate, framed by supple tannins and a structured finish.
