This wine honors the Patritti family's celebrated 1960 vineyard on an elevated, east-facing site rooted in Maslin Sand over Ironstone—where old vines capture cool morning sun and produce intensely concentrated fruit.

Artisan Winemaking from Old Vines

Hand-harvested with 15% whole bunches retained, the fruit was cold-soaked for two days before open-vat fermentation with daily hand plunging for optimal extraction. Gently basket-pressed into one- and two-year-old French oak puncheons, the wine matured for 12 months, achieving balance and elegance.

Blue Fruit Elegance & 97 Points

James Halliday awarded 97 points, praising it as "a lovely Shiraz, alive with blackberry fruits, touches of savory tannins, dark chocolate and licorice that all hang together" with drinking potential to 2056.

The wine reveals blue-fruited density: bright cherry, raspberry, cranberry, violet, nutmeg, and spicy oak. The palate delivers a finely wrought core of intense fruit with persistent sandy tannins and taut natural acidity - refined yet powerful.
