        The Art of Blending Excellence
Ministry of Clouds Kintsugi 2021 takes its name from the Japanese art of "golden joinery"—repairing broken pottery with gold to celebrate imperfection and create enduring beauty. This philosophy guides the winemaking: blending only the finest old-vine parcels from McLaren Vale to craft a Southern Rhône-inspired wine where the whole exceeds the sum of its parts.
Old-Vine Power from McLaren Vale
The 2021 vintage comprises 55% Grenache, 35% Carignan, and 10% Mataro from McLaren Vale's most venerable sites. Fermented with whole bunches and aged in old puncheons on fine lees, the wine was bottled unfined and rested a full year before release.
Savory Elegance with 96+ Points
The Wine Advocate awarded 96+ points, praising its "exotically spiced, savory" character with "dried herbs, wild game, arnica root, and mustard seed," alongside notes of "cracked leaf litter, iodine, and ironstone". The palate is layered and long, with crunchy red berries, sinewy tannins, and bright acidity—classically styled yet unmistakably modern.
