This intense red wine is crafted using a combination of appassimento and barrel aging techniques, resulting in a deep, rounded expression of the variety. Aromas of wild herbs, purple florals, mineral-laced blackberry, and white smoke rise from the glass, leading to a silky palate with layers of textural fruit, including ripe cherry, blueberry, and sweet spice. Tannins add structure, yet they are seamlessly integrated, allowing the wine's primary components to shine. The finish is remarkably persistent, tapering off to delicate notes of violet pastille.
