This unique blend of 88% Cinsault and 12% Pinotage is sourced from Helderberg vineyards, planted on light silica soils near the ocean. The wine underwent 45% whole-bunch fermentation and was aged for eight months in older oak barrels. On the nose, subtle reduction gives way to vibrant red and black cherry notes, complemented by a touch of spice. While this vintage may not be as immediately approachable as previous ones, it offers an intriguing profile with a lean structure and slightly bitter tannins.
