Poggio al Tesoro — Marilisa Allegrini's Tuscany estate in Bolgheri — blends 40% Syrah, 30% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged eight months in barriques to preserve Mediterranean freshness. Scoring 92 points from James Suckling and 91 from Antonio Galloni, this wine opens with vivid wild blackberry, black pepper, Mediterranean herbs, and eucalyptus.
The palate is velvety and approachable — crunchy dark fruit, warming spice, and a long, savoury finish that keeps you coming back for more.
