San Polo — the Allegrini family's certified organic estate in di Montalcino — sources this rosso from the same noble Sangiovese parcels as its Brunello, aged 12 months in large oak for immediate approachability. Scoring 92 James Suckling, he calls it "juicy and smooth with a velvety texture" showing "ripe red fruit with hints of citrus peel and crushed stones."
The palate is warm, medium-bodied, and harmoniously dry — crunchy cherry, balanced tannins, and a fresh, persistent rosso di Montalcino finish.
