Product Description
Founded in 1978 by Walter Hansel and now led by son Stephen, the estate crafts Cahill Lane Chardonnay from old-vine Wente clone plantings in Russian River Valley, whole-cluster pressed and aged 10 months in French oak. Scoring 91 points from Jeb Dunnuck and widely praised for its texture and immediacy, this wine opens with lilac, preserved lemon, peach, and smoky flint.
The palate is full-bodied and fleshy — ripe stone fruit, savoury herbs, and a long, marzipan-tinged finish.
