Founded in 1967 when Dr. Hermann established his own estate after the family division, this benchmark producer now thrives under Rudy Hermann and his son Christian. Their old, ungrafted vines (some over 100 years) cling to the region's steepest slate slopes - Erdener Prälat, Erdener Treppchen and Ürziger Würzgarten - where meticulous sustainable farming and painstaking selective harvests yield extraordinary fruit.

Patient winemaking transforms these grapes into electrifying Rieslings: slow fermentations (up to 12 weeks) and extended lees aging in stainless steel preserve crystalline purity while building texture. The result? A stunning range from racy Kabinett to luscious TBA, all expressing their legendary vineyards with precision and longevity.
