This wine benefits from the vineyard's diverse soils – 40-50cm reddish-brown earth with limestone fragments in the east, transitioning to angular limestone gravel upslope in the west. This wine's dual geological foundation features fine-grained Premeaux limestone with chert nodules in the eastern parcels, while the steeper western slopes rest on Comblanchien limestone scree, together imparting extraordinary structure and mineral depth.
