Helan Qingxue Winery, the first demonstration winery in Ningxia, was listed as the second-grade winery in Ningxia in 2019, located at the foot of Helan Mountain, with an altitude of 1,138 meters. The winery has a vineyard of 2.6 hectares, planted with Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan, Malbec, and other varieties, with an annual output of 60,000 bottles of wine. Founded in 2005, the winery was jointly established by two legends of the local wine industry, Rong Jian and Wang Fengyu, as well as the young winemaker Zhang Jing, and Professor Li Demei was invited to serve as their wine consultant. In 2011, the Helan Qingxue 2009 Reserve Wine won the international award at the "Decanter World Wine Awards" (DWWA), which is the highest honor in the competition.
