Product Description

Rated 97 pts by Decanter, 95 pts by Tim Atkin, 92 pts by Wine Spectator and 91–94 pts by Burghound, Domaine Long-Depaquit La Moutonne Grand Cru Monopole 2020 is one of Chablis' most coveted expressions — a sole 2.35-hectare plot nestled in a natural Kimmeridgian marl amphitheatre, straddling Vaudésir and Les Preuses, owned exclusively by the Bichot family since 1971.

Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel then 10 months in old 25% oak casks, followed by six months on lees in tank — pristine terroir-driven winemaking. Decanter describes it as "great intensity of pear and apple fruit — pure, focused acidity, chalky dry finish — very, very classy". The palate delivers golden apple, sweet peach, jasmine and crushed oyster shell — laser-like yet generous, with exceptional length. Cellar 2028–2040.
