Product Description
From a vineyard in Portugal's Douro planted over 80 years ago and partially abandoned for years before revival, this red is a field blend of over 20 native varieties, aged 18–20 months in French and Portuguese oak for structured depth.
Robert Parker found "very pure and exuberant aromas, with fresh violet and red fruit notes" and "great depth and intensity on the nose." Balsamic, tar, liquorice and black fruit define the palate, wrapped in fine, silky tannins and real minerality from the schist soils.
