Product Description
Bollinger PN Brut VZ19 represents the fifth edition of the prestigious PN series, showcasing Bollinger's masterful interpretation of 100% Pinot Noir from the legendary Grand Cru village of Verzenay. This exceptional Champagne delivers remarkable depth and elegance, earning 94 points from Vinous and 95 points from Dutch Wine Apprentice, who praised it as "a stunning example of Bollinger's mastery".
Terroir-Driven Excellence
Based on the outstanding 2019 vintage (52% of the blend), with reserve wines dating back to 2009—some aged in magnums for nearly a decade—this Blanc de Noirs captures Verzenay's signature tension and salinity from its chalky soils. Aged more than twice the appellation requirements with minimal dosage (6g/L), the wine undergoes 50% oak fermentation for added complexity.
Sensory Journey
The luminous golden hue introduces an expressive nose of orchard fruits, hazelnut, Mirabelle plum, and exotic notes. On the palate, discover a symphony of white peach, Granny Smith apple, blood orange, and citrus zest, enhanced by creamy mousse and silky texture. Wine Spectator applauded its "real drive and focus" with "racy acidity" and "finely detailed mousse". The finish delivers characteristic Champagne salinity and chalky minerality that lingers beautifully.
