Product Description
From one of Marlborough's most exciting artisan estates, Corofin 'Settlement Vineyard East Slope' Pinot Noir 2013 is a rare, mature expression from a hillside clay site in the Omaka Valley - owned by Dog Point, planted at high density with 777 clone, north-northeast oriented for slow, even ripening.
Consistently scoring 95–96 pts across recent vintages from Jamie Goode and Stephen Wong MW, Corofin is celebrated as "one of Marlborough's and New Zealand's most exciting wine projects". Hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, wild fermented with daily pumpovers, 19 days on skins, then 14 months in seasoned French oak — unfined and unfiltered. Now beautifully evolved, the 2013 delivers sour cherry, dried rose petal, earthy undergrowth and exotic spice with a silky, finely structured New Zealand Pinot Noir finish of exceptional length.
