Named after its full south-facing slope — "the burned hills" — the Coteau Les Brûlés is the crown jewel of Domaine de La Fontainerie, producing some of Vouvray's most site-expressive Chenin Blanc.
Winemaker Catherine Dhoye-Deruet ferments and ages this cuvée for a full year in 350L oak barrels, drawing maximum complexity from clay-limestone soils over a tuffeau subsoil — just 4,180 bottles produced. Expect a bright, round palate of ripe citrus, quince, cooked apple and white peach, layered with classic chalky minerality, zesty acidity and a seamlessly long finish. Beautifully balanced and built to age — drink now through 2032+.
