The aromas are vibrant red and black fruits—ripe raspberry, black cherry, and wild strawberry—with floral hints (violet, peony) and subtle herbal notes (fresh thyme, crushed peppercorn). A touch of graphite or wet stone minerality may emerge. On the palate,it is juicy and fresh, with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. The fruit is plush but balanced by savory undertones (licorice, tobacco leaf) and a touch of spice.
Medium-bodied with excellent purity, reflecting the sunny 2022 vintage’s ripeness while retaining Loire freshness, with a clean and persistent finish, with lingering red fruit and a stony, earthy edge.
