From the legendary Applejack vineyard planted in 1997 on grey clay soils at 300m in Gladysdale, this wine showcases 40% whole-bunch fermentation creating distinctive aromas of scraped orange skin, chinotto, bitter clove, dark chocolate, and star anise. Darkly fruited and more intense than the 2023, the nose reveals wild blackberry, raspberry, briar, and a hint of sous bois with fresh flowers, cherries, graphite, minerals, and blood orange.
