Product Description
Domaine Douhairet-Porcheret Monthélie Clos du Meix Garnier Monopole 2019 is a rare single-owner vineyard bottling from the heart of Côte de Beaune, showcasing vibrant Pinot Noir purity and the elegance of village-level Burgundy from a historic Monthélie estate.
Tasting
Aromas of wild berries, cherry, and peppery spice lead to a medium-full palate with fine-grained tannins, lively acidity, and a mineral core from clay-limestone soils. The finish is supple and persistent, balancing red-fruit finesse with savory complexity, ideal for near-term enjoyment and mid-term cellaring.
Vinification
Hand-harvested and rigorously sorted fruit; 100% destemmed; stainless-steel fermentation for 12–20 days with daily pump-overs and punch-downs; élevage in 228L French oak (Tronçais), ~10% new, for about 18 months to refine texture and preserve site transparency.
Vineyard & Background
Clos du Meix Garnier is a 1.36-hectare monopole in the village center, its “meix” name tracing to medieval farmsteads; sustainable HVE3 farming underscores precision and terroir focus across the domaine’s Monthélie, Pommard, Volnay, and Meursault holdings.
