About Jia Bei Lan:
Founded in 2005 at the foot of Helan Mountain (1,138 meters elevation), Jia Bei Lan (Helan Qingxue Winery) has established itself as one of China's most consistently excellent wine producers. Working with grapes from their boutique 2.6-hectare vineyard, the winery crafts wines that showcase the unique terroir of Ningxia. Their Jia Bei Lan Reserve 2015 was awarded a Gold medal with 95 points at the 2019 Decanter World Wine Awards, cementing their international reputation.
Meet the Winemaker:
Ms. Zhang Jing brings international winemaking experience from France, the United States, and Australia to her craft. As a National Level 1 Winemaker and Wine Taster, and member of China's Winemaking Technical Committee, she was invited as guest winemaker at the University of Adelaide's Waite Campus in 2017. Her winemaking philosophy centers on creating balanced wines with refined tannins and elegant complexity.
