La Capilla Vendimia Seleccionada 2020 embodies the essence of Ribera del Duero, Spain, made exclusively from 100% Tempranillo carefully selected from the best corners of estate vineyards in Roa, La Horra, and Anguix.

Vineyards and Soils

Grapes are sourced from hand-grafted vines growing between 820–865 meters altitude, with sandy loam and limey soils of tertiary origin. These poor, well-aerated soils ensure very low yields, delivering depth and finesse.

Winemaking

Each plot is vinified separately in small tanks without pumping, preserving fruit integrity. Indigenous yeast drives slow, whole-grain fermentation, followed by lengthy maceration and malolactic in French oak. The wine is aged 16 months in fine grain French oak, then more than 12 months in bottle to reveal maximum elegance.

Tasting Notes

Intense, dark, and lively color with complex aromas of black fruit, Chinese ink, licorice, spices, and exotic wood. Powerful and vibrant on the palate, polished by balanced oak and silky tannins. The finish is very long and harmonious, well-suited to enjoy now or age for another decade.
