Named "Fireside Tales," Lagavulin 12 Years Old Special Release 2024 is matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon and refill oak casks, softening the distillery's signature peat into a richer, sweeter profile. Bottled at cask strength, this Islay whisky layers thick toffee, vanilla and coconut with aromatic spice.

Smouldering bonfire and rowan jelly greet the nose, leading to a creamy palate of coconut, smoke and toffee, finishing long and warmly spiced. Lagavulin trades its usual maritime intensity for a gentler, more approachable expression.
