Marqués de Riscal XR Reserva 2021 is a 96% Tempranillo, 4% Graciano blend aged over two years primarily in American oak. James Suckling describes "dark mushrooms, spices and leather with cedar and black plums," noting it's "ripe yet juicy with plenty of blackberries and a twist of citrus and vanilla," with "dusty tannins and a very lengthy finish."
Jeb Dunnuck calls it "an ode to blending... made in a fruity, modern style, with sweet tannins," showing "dark cherry, vanilla, and a rich dusting of cocoa powder."
