Massena's single-vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz sources fruit from dry-farmed old vines in Greenock — historically linked to Penfolds' legendary fruit sourcing in the region. Fermented in open stainless steel with indigenous yeast, aged 20 months in seasoned French oak puncheons — unfined and unfiltered.
- Nose: Dark plum, perfumed violet, dark berries, and warm spice — bold, fragrant, and deeply expressive
- Palate: Rich and full-bodied — liquorice, clove, dark fruit, and silky tannins with a powerfully concentrated core
- Finish: Long and lasting — toasty oak, dark spice, and savoury depth; best from 2025, through 2035
