Product Description

Champagne Oudiette x Filles Les Sablonnières 2022 is the domain's single-parcel Blanc de Noirs cuvée. Representing the most vinous, structured, and muscular expression in the lineup, Les Sablonnières highlights the power and soil interaction of Pinot Noir grown on the unique sandy-chalk terroir of Beaunay in the Coteaux du Petit Morin.

Technical Specifications & Winemaking

  • Appellation: Champagne (Beaunay, Coteaux du Petit Morin)

  • Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir (Blanc de Noirs)

  • Harvest / Vintage Focus: 2022

  • Lieu-dit / Parcel: Sourced entirely from the single parcel « Les Sablonnières », featuring vines planted in 1987 with a southeastern exposure.

  • Soil Profile: A distinctive topsoil of sand and flint overlying deep chalk, imparting a rarer combination of aromatic lift and broad mid-palate density.

  • Vinification & Wood Aging: 100% vinified and aged in French oak barrels (Burgundy pieces) for 10 months. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation; unfiltered and unfined.

  • Cellar Maturation: Spent ~27 to 33 months aging on the lees prior to disgorgement.

  • Dosage: Extra Brut (~2 g/L).

  • Rarity: Extremely low production run; heavily allocated per market.

Sensory Profile & Characteristics

  • Nose: Rich, dark, and expressive. Opens with wild red fruit—wild strawberry, raspberry, and blood orange—alongside savory notes of dried herbs, clove, subtle forest floor, and a warm, toasted oak frame.

  • Palate: Broad, textured, and vinous on the entry. The Pinot Noir structure provides weight, muscle, and phenolic depth, while the sandy-chalk parcel origin maintains an underlying streak of acidity and mineral tension.

  • Finish: Long, structured, and savory with fine-grained chalky tannins, dark berry undertones, and a crisp, dry finish.
