Paolo Saracco Moscato d'Autunno 2024 represents the pinnacle of Paolo Saracco's legendary estate—recognized globally as the "Master of Moscato". "Autunno" (Italian for "autumn") refers not to late harvest, but to the selection of only the finest grapes from 60-80 year old vines in the estate's top parcels. While Saracco produces one million bottles annually of classic Moscato d'Asti, only 12,000 bottles of Moscato d'Autunno are made each vintage—reserved for wines that show exceptional richness, depth, and complexity during barrel tasting.
Artisan Winemaking from Ancient Vines
Grapes from Castiglione Tinella's oldest limestone-rich vineyards (280-500m elevation) are gently pressed to extract the most aromatic juice, then stored at -3°C before slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in pressurized tanks. This preserves purity, freshness, and profound aromatic depth.
Intense Elegance & Complexity
Pale straw-yellow with fine, persistent perlage, the wine reveals intense orange blossom, white peach, lime zest, thyme, and delicate blossom honey. Sweet yet never heavy, the palate balances juicy stone fruit with lively lemony acidity and clear mineral character, finishing long and fragrant.
