Ramos Pinto Duas Quintas 2023 is a benchmark Douro red from Portugal's iconic still wine producer, blending traditional grapes from two distinguished estates—Quinta de Ervamoira (dense, warm terroir) and Quinta dos Bons Ares (high-altitude, granite freshness). Hand-harvested plot by plot at optimal ripeness, the wines ferment separately by variety and vineyard, then age 20% in French oak barrels, 30% in large oak vats, and 50% in stainless steel for 12 months, balancing complexity with purity. The result is a dark red with garnet highlights, offering expressive complexity with ripe blackcurrant and cherry jam alongside fresher violet florals and subtle roasted coffee notes.
