Located to the southwest of the village, the vineyard is known for its limestone rich soils where the wines are taught, steely and precise. Butteaux is a climat located within the ‘Montmains’ vineyard and considered to be the pinnacle of Chablis Premier Cru. Striking aromas of green apple, peach, and apricot fuse with added grapefruit pith. Superb power, weight, and structure with a creamy, rounded texture balanced by linear, taught acidity that is so focused and defined. There’s more ripe white stone fruits and white pepper spice on the long, lingering finish. Fantastic.
