This Savage Red is 100% Syrah, from Stellenbosch fruit. It's aged 13 months in older oak barrels, then 10 months in large wooden vats, for a smooth, polished feel. Expect red cherry, peach skin and apricot, with gentle spice and a cool, fresh finish.
Pour it with roast lamb, grilled sausages or mushroom dishes. It suits red wine drinkers who prefer elegant, fruit-led Syrah to big, heavy reds, and it can be kept for years.
