Product Description
This Savage Grenache comes from bush vines grown without irrigation, 704 metres up in the Citrusdal Mountain area. It's fermented naturally, with a fifth of the grapes left on their stems, then aged 10 months in concrete eggs and older barrels. Expect cherry, bramble berries and herbs, with a touch of spice and a fresh, savoury finish.
Serve it lightly chilled with grilled lamb, roast chicken or charcuterie. It suits Pinot Noir fans who want something fuller, and it should develop for 10 to 15 years.
- Style: Medium-bodied, fresh and savoury, with firm, chalky grip
- Tasting notes: Cherry, bramble, pomegranate, herbs, spice
