Rated 93 pts by James Suckling, Sons of Eden's Marschall Shiraz is a tribute to the pioneering vignerons who shaped the Barossa — fruit sourced from 20–80 year-old vines across the Tanunda and Ebenezer districts. Deep garnet in the glass, it opens with luscious aromas of dark cherry, blood plum, dried herbs and blackcurrant, with hints of mocha, violets and ferric earth.
The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with finely integrated tannins and bright acidity delivering a generous, layered finish of mulberries, dark chocolate and subtle spice. Built for now but will reward cellaring. Drink now through 2030.
